Their slogan is "steep, deep and cheap", and the ski area definitely lives up to the name. It's still somewhat undiscovered, so you can get away from the crowds and get the most reasonable lift tickets around! Cross-country skiers have access to miles of quiet forest trails to enjoy the outdoors, and there is no end to the choice spots available for ice fishermen! Those who tend towards the wild side will love the antics of the Libby Polar Bear Club. Members regularly take winter-time "swims" in the icy cold water of Libby Creek every Sunday from October to April. Plungers have ranged in age from 3 to 61. If there is ice on the creek, the group will still take their plunge, as long as the ice can be broken.
