Graves Creek Falls

Graves Creek Falls in Montana is approximately 11-12 miles from downtown Thompson Falls, Montana and provides a breathtaking view of the steep, rushing waterfall and surrounding mountains. A short easy trail provides access to a sparkling pool of water above the falls, which leads to an abrupt vertical drop that you won't want to get to close too!

The sheer cliff walls and great expansive views make it nearly impossible to capture the full effect of this pristine setting on film. This is definitely a panoramic sight you will want to experience in person!

This undiscovered spot is known mostly by the locals, and is perfect for those seeking an afternoon getaway for hiking, picnicking, or even just relaxing.

Directions to Graves Creek Falls from Thompson Falls:
From downtown Thompson Falls, just travel west on Main St. (Hwy 200), to Blueslide Rd., (about 2 1/2 +- miles). Turn Right on Blueslide Rd, and veer right where road splits, then cross tracks. Keep going on Blueslide Rd until you reach Graves Creek Rd. You will be on Blueslide a total of about 7 miles. Turn right on Graves Creek Rd, and go about 2+- miles until you see a pull off to the left. Park and follow the short trail. Just be careful, and do not get too close to the edge. It is very steep and there is no rail!

This spot is not recommended for loose running dogs or unattended small children!
